In argot, the Boulevard Saint-Michel was called the Boulemiche, Ménilmontant was called Ménilmuche, and there were lots of deformations like that. But it was, like, in the fifties...
Now, République is abbreviated to Répu, as Trocadero becomes Troca...

And the hip french kid might ask you "T'as un 06?" instead of "Avez-vous un 06?". The "vous" is reaaaly un-hip among us young hip parisian kids... But, you know, sometimes to make a lasting impression I like to "vouvoyer" instead of "tutoyer" :)
