For Julian's birthday, a bunch of us met at the Champs de Mars--the lawn in front of the Eiffel Tower. It was a mess of languages, to be sure, but we had a good time.

Oh, and bon anniversaire to you too, Glynnis! I'm over here in America, hoping we can deliver Obama as the person I'm sure almost everyone in France is rooting for. If McCain is elected, I'll be moving either to Paris or Rome, I haven't decided. Well, maybe Acapulco. At any rate, have a fun 21st!
